Part 1 : Morning
It was a warm summer morning, right before sunrise, and could almost be called the perfect morning. Aside from the strange winds that seemed to echo out from a nearby cave, it was a relatively quiet. The birds chirped and chattered as they flew around, in the surrounding forest. Some rested on the grass floor that bordered the cave, and tried to search for their morning meal. One of the small, feathered creatures was pecking at the dirt near the cave, unaware of his companions who had kept a good distance away from the large cave. Unsuccessful, the bird looked up and noticed the others and then turned his gaze towards the cave.
Compared to the small bird, the cave was huge, but not just by a birds standards. It was as tall as four grizzly bears stacked up to the ceiling. Although the size of the cavern was intimidating enough, so was the inside of it. Dark, scary, and with a metronome of dripping sounds, the cave was like a creature of its own. A monster to end all monsters.
While some of the birds hopped away, more concerned with finding breakfast, the one near the dark abyss approached it with curiosity. Even still, fear was more influential on the little creatures, as a barrage of noises shot out of the cave, sending the birds flying off like lightning.
Bweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! Bweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! EEH! EEH! EEH! EEH! EEH! EEH! DOOOOOO-DOOOOOOOO! DOOOOOOOO-DOOOOOOOOO! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Ugh, Im up, Im up, A voice boomed, its shadow filled almost half the space within as it shuffled around. The figures hand reached for what looked like a truck that kept flashing and beeping as if someone was trying to steal it. The hand was easily the size of the car, if not bigger, and it pressed down against the vehicles roof. The suspension gave way to the figures strength until the bumper tapped against the ground.
Beurp, Beurp, The car chimed, flashing once more, then stopped its alarm. The strange winds were no more and the dripping had stopped. The creature, however, made several scuffling noises as it positioned itself to crawl its way out of the cave. As it exited the morning light finally started filling the air, revealing the true monstrosity that resided within the cave.
It stood roughly 100 feet tall, and stretched to make itself even taller. It took a deep breath and then let out a horrifying
.yawn
Good morning, The creature mumbled to no one, wiping the drool off with its arm. It relaxed and walked as quietly and carefully as possible towards the nearby lake.
The being kneeled down, looked at its reflection and groaned, ugh, great, as it saw the terrible bed-head in the reflection. The creature scooped up some water, splashed it against its short hair and shook its head like a dog after a bath. Perfect, it said to itself, seeing the now spiked black hair. Occasionally the creature positioned a spike here or there to show off the blue, red, pink, and purple highlights that were no doubt painted on.
It looked back into the water and examined the face that looked back at it. Sky blue eyes, smooth, slightly pale skin, and a warm, friendly, smile. The creature stood up and looked at the rest of its reflection. The creauture looked like a normal human girl of about 18 or 19 years old. She wore a light grey tank top that complimented her perfect curves, and a pair of tattered blue jeans that had several extra pieces of fabric (most likely blankets) sewed on to repair some of the damage the clothing had taken over the years.
The giantess nodded at her mirrored form, and walked back towards her cave to finish her morning routine. She tapped the side of the wall twice and some floodlights, that had been attached to a Clapper, lit up the girls home. There was a table (the size of a small building) constructed of boulders and scrap metal that took up the center of the room. On it were a few cars, a mop with some black goo on it, several paint cans for painting homes, a few small pieces of scrap metal, and a strange truck with lights built into one side that displayed 5:30. The girl grabbed a pair of socks that were under the table and slipped them on, followed by a pair of black and grey boots roughly the size of a tank each. She tied them quickly and then walked over to the jacket that hung off the side of the wall. It was blue with several different colored patches that fixed it up. A pink one on the right elbow, a few red blotches on the back, and a teal sleeve that took up most of the left arm. She took it from the makeshift coat hanger (which was more like a metal girder sticking in the wall), put it on, then grabbed a blue cap from the hanger, and placed it on her head. Finally, she took a pair of pink gloves from the pockets of her jacket pockets, and put them on.
Another day, She began to say, tapping twice against the wall. The lights went out, and she walked outside.
another 21.75 an hour
She stuffed her hands into the pockets of her jacket and walked off.
It was a strange yet marvelous sight to see this giantess go on her way. Not just because of her beauty, nor size, but how she walked in general. Her boots stepped in a simple left, right, left, right, pattern, and the trees (which were at most as high as her waist) would shake slightly with each step
but she never bumped into any of them. In fact, if it wasnt for the footprints she left, no one would ever know she had been through there. At one point the giantess stopped completely, her left foot still raised above the ground. She stood there for a minute or two, then watched the speck of a squirrel scamper off from under her boot. She gave it a lazy salute, and continued on her way.
The girls destination was about ten minutes away, but she wasnt in that much of a hurry. She admired her surroundings, mostly listening to them, but because she was so large, it was hard to notice every little thing
like the boy who hid in the trees. He gripped his sword, lowered what looked to be a knights visor, stood up on the branch he was on, and jumped in front of the giantess. (Although a good distance away, so not to be crushed)
Halt, He yelled, pointing his blade at the creature. It backed away confused, and slightly startled.
What the, She mumbled, looking down at the small human, only about three and a half inches tall, compared to her height.
My quest ends here, The knight said in a slight but off English accent, Ive traveled a great distance to find you, beast, it has been my sworn duty to defeat you, just as my ancestors have done generations ago.
Um
say what?
Dont play tricks on me demoness, now on guard! The boy commanded, raising his sword in a battle stance. I cannot attack an opponent who is defenseless!
The giantess kneeled down to get a better view of the human. From what she could see, he was around average height for normal humans and around 16 or 17 years old. He wore a pair of blue jeans, sandals, a green t-shirt, and a knights helmet. He also had on a backpack which seemed pretty empty. She smiled, plucked him up by his backpack, and lifted him to eye level.
Who says Im defenseless?
Grah! Lemme go demon, The boy yelled swinging his sword around. He hit it against the giants glove but to no effect.
No, now tell me who are you, The giantess commanded, glaring at her little catch. The boy sighed, lifted up his visor, and looked at her with a sheepish smile.
You have no imagination, He replied, the girl now able to see the boys brown eyes, kind face, and some brown hair that hadnt been hid behind the visor.
MOUSE, She yelled happily and hugged him gently. I didnt recognize you with the mask and that accent, She said setting him back down.
Thanks Patch, Ive been working on it, He replied lowering the mask again. He raised his fake wooden sword and looked back at his giant sized friend. Now, have at you, He yelled, letting out a battle cry, charging towards the giantesss shoe. She lifted it up and he ran right past it.
Hey, wait, She said, moving out of the way as Mouse charged at her again, I dont have time to play right now, I gotta get to work.
Is that a coward I hear, He replied, ignoring what she said, he swung at her boot.
Sorry, She sighed and began to walk away. Mouse tried to keep up, but she was too fast, and she stepped around the trees which gave her a considerable advantage. We can play when my shift is over, She said looking back and waving.
He brought his visor back up disappointed.
fine, he yelled back so she could hear him. He waved, turned around and walked back for home, dragging the toy sword behind him.
Patches was silent as she walked away, and she couldnt help but look back at her little friend. She sighed and turned around.
itll only take a minute, She said to herself with a mischievous smile.
Mouse sighed as he walked home. I guess I got up early for nothing, He said to himself. He was quiet for a moment, just remembering some things from when they met a few years ago
Now which way is home
Ugh, Im completely lost
Creak
What was that?
hello
Um
hell-ohmygod!
wha
you
your
Wait, please dont-
RUN, A voice boomed behind him, ending his thought. The earth shook as its owner jumped into the air.
Oh, crap, Mouse yelled, running away as Patches leapt towards him. Another tremor shook everything around them as the mere five foot six boy was attacked and pinned down by 350 tons of giantess
of course she didnt use all of that weight, it would no doubt kill her little friend, but enough to keep him from escaping and more importantly, scare the hell out of him. Oh, Im sorry, Patches said with a giggle, You werent ready, shall I give you a sporting chance? She sat up, let go of Mouse, took off her right glove, and pointed her index finger as if it was a sword. Mouse smile with glee, lowered his visor and raised his sword excitedly.
Have at you, He yelled, and charged at his opponent.
Patches couldnt stop smiling. Mouse always made such fun games, She thought, blocking the toy sword with her finger. It didnt hurt whatsoever, and bounced off after it hit.
YA, Mouse yelled slashing again at the demoness.
Give it up, She said with a smirk, You cant possibly win
You underestimate me, He replied with a laugh, then pointed his sword forward, Because I know your weakness! And he charged once more but instead of attacking Patches hand, he jumped on top of it when it was close enough to the ground, then ran up her arm, and he jumped towards the giantesss belly. Both of his hands gripped the sword and he stabbed it down at her belly.
GAH! No fair, Patches laughed as the sword harmlessly poked her stomach. Mouse landed on her lap and continued poking her with an occasional battle cry. Im ticklish, His friend yelled, falling over (making the surroundings shake a little in the process), still laughing. Mouse lost his balance and fell down on her belly. The cloth of Patches shirt was like a floor to the tiny boy, and it shook as she laughed. Mouse couldnt help but laugh as well.
When Patches finally caught her breath, Mouse carefully climbed down and walked alongside her body until he reached Patches face. She turned her head, still laying down, and looked at him. They were actually at eye level with each other
almost anyway. He took of his helmet, and looked at her in a serious but obviously acted out way.
You have fought bravely and cunningly young giantess, He said pointing his sword at her, You stood your ground and have proven yourself a noble warrior, and for that, I shall spare you. And with emphasis he bowed like a knight would. Patches giggled.
Oh thank you Sir Knight, She replied, getting up. Now if youll excuse me
I have to go before Im late for work again. With that she bowed and walked off. Mouse smiled.
Until we meet again, me lady, He replied, waving. Things were quiet for awhile, but eventually several small tremors vibrated through the ground from the direction Patch had gone.
I hope shes not that late, Mouse said to himself, feeling a bit guilty. He sighed and once again went for home. Im sure things will be fine
